“Asia-Pacific is such a dynamic and richly diverse region. The arts is not only an expression of that wealth we share, but as a meeting point where different communities can learn about and celebrate our common humanity. The diversity also makes AAPPAC a vital network. We have so much to share with each other. And I’ve personally experienced the warmth and openness of the AAPPAC network and gatherings, especially in those difficult pandemic years. With even greater uncertainty in the world today, the AAPPAC network provides professional support but also precious opportunities for learning, exchange, collaboration, co-creation – and friendship.”
– Yvonne Tham, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay
“With the vision and commitment of enhancing AAPPAC’s convening power and further broadening its membership base, I would like to run for another term as member of the Executive Council (EXCO) of AAPPAC. Having served on the EXCO for two years, I believe I can continue to contribute my experience and expertise, including using the AAPPAC Hong Kong Conference 2026 to be held in WKCD as the platform to foster closer exchange between AAPPAC members and enhance the AAPPAC brand.”
– Betty Fung. CEO, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hong Kong
As we look forward to our 30th Anniversary in 2026, the leadership of the incoming Exco will be instrumental in driving our association forward. We are confident that the years ahead will be marked by meaningful collaboration between our member-centres and growth of the arts community within the region.
Lastly, Secretariat would like to thank all outgoing Exco for their valuable guidance provided to the network during their term which have brought about greater learning, exchange, and collaboration between members through three successful conferences and new initiatives, enabling the network to emerge closer and stronger in our post-COVID years.
