A New Chapter at the Singapore Symphony

Music Director Hans Graf
As the 2025/26 season closes, Quantedge Music Director Hans Graf concludes his tenure with the Singapore Symphony through a three-part Hans Graf Farewell Series in May.
Celebrating Hans Graf’s artistry and indelible contributions, the farewell series will see Graf leading the SSO for Scheherazade, a programme of French music, Mozart and Salieri, alongside violinists Leticia Moreno and He Ziyu, saxophonist Samuel Phua, and pianists Toby Tan and Adrian Tang who took centre stage at the 2024 SSO President’s Young Performers Concert.

Looking ahead, maestro Hannu Lintu will take up the baton as Quantedge Music Director from the 2026/27 season, bringing his signature combination of virtuosity and expressive insight to Singapore audiences. His Music Director-designate appearances during the 2025/26 season have already given a glimpse of the exciting programmes to come, from Haydn and Mahler to Shostakovich this April, offering audiences a glimpse of the artistic vision he will bring to the role from July.

Andrew Beer
The new season will also welcome violinist Andrew Beer as GK Goh Concertmaster. An internationally recognised artist-leader, Andrew Beer will play a central role in shaping the orchestra’s artistic direction alongside Hannu Lintu, building on the strong foundations established during Hans Graf’s tenure.
