Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is excited to announce these changes to key roles in its senior management team, effective 1 Aug 2023.
Rachelle Tan will take on the role of Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Enterprise) and Ravi Sivalingam will take on the role of Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Operations). Rachelle has led Esplanade’s venue partnership, Mall and planning teams. As Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Enterprise), Rachelle will not only continue to oversee Esplanade’s relationships with hirers, Mall tenants, but also sponsors, donors and our community partners. These partners are central to the centre’s mission and its role as an arts centre for everyone. As Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Operations), Ravi will oversee the work of Esplanade’s operational support services, technical production, as well as customer experience at the centre. These teams are central to delivering the Esplanade Experience for everyone who visits, performs at, or watches a performance at Esplanade’s venues and public spaces.
At the same time, Amy Ho and Faith Tan will both take on the role of Director, Programming for their respective areas. They will jointly steer the artistic and programming direction for Esplanade. Amy will take on the role of Director, Programming for Music, Community and Children & Youth Programmes. Faith will take on the role of Director, Programming for Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, and International Development.
Over the last 20 years, Esplanade has developed a wide range of programmes to be an arts centre for everyone and to reach different communities. The appointment of two Directors of Programming ensures that the centre continues to support today’s diverse programming, while developing new platforms, audiences and Singapore’s presence on the world stage.
Kit Pui Lee will take on the role of Director, Marketing. Kit will oversee Esplanade’s various teams for digital marketing, marketing services, arts marketing and engagement, as well as communications and content.
Eunice Yap will relinquish her duties as Esplanade’s Chief Marketing Officer after 31 Oct 2023. In the past nine years, Eunice has been instrumental in Esplanade’s efforts to explore what it means to be a digital performing arts centre. These initiatives include Esplanade’s customer experience onsite; the development of an arts content and streaming site Esplanade Offstage; the digitalisation of Esplanade’s marketing capabilities and archives; the growth of its membership programme Esplanade&Me; and Esplanade’s latest efforts in raising accessibility for people with disabilities. We thank her for her invaluable contributions to Esplanade and the arts and wish her well for her next adventure.
Together with our CEO Yvonne Tham, the Esplanade team looks forward to your continued support and collaboration.
