The Management of the MPO and DFP Welcome New Chairman and Board of Directors/Board of Trustees

The management of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) are pleased to welcome our newly appointed Chairman, Puan Siti Azlina Abdul Latif and two new esteemed members of the Board of Directors/Board of Trustees, YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Hajah Norliza Rofli and YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar. Their extensive experience, visionary leadership and passion for the arts will play a pivotal role in guiding the MPO and DFP to enrich Malaysia’s cultural landscape and inspire audiences through world class orchestral music.
Puan Siti Azlina Abdul Latif
Puan Siti Azlina Abdul Latif currently leads the Strategic Communications Department at PETRONAS, overseeing global strategies for reputation management. She played a key role in developing the Groupwide Strategic Communications Strategy, shaping practices that support PETRONAS’ transition to the new energy era. Puan Siti Azlina earlier experience includes leading the Corporate Affairs and Administrative Operations of PETRONAS Chemicals Group and various functions in Business Development as well as advertising and promotions within PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad’s retail arm.
YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Hajah Norliza Rofli
YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Hajah Norliza Rofli, a highly esteemed figure in the arts and cultural sector brings profound experience in arts and culture, having served as the Director General of the National Department for Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts. She helmed Istana Budaya as the Director and was a board member of the Akademi Seni Budaya Dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) and Yayasan Tenun Diraja Pahang, a panel member of Krishen Jit-ASTRO Fund and is an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Malay Language, Literature and Cultural Studies (BITARA MELAYU) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar
YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar, a seasoned expert in the entertainment and media industry brings substantial experience in digitalisation. As the Chief Executive Officer of Primeworks Studios at Media Prima, he significantly contributed to success of Malaysia’s TV channels and radio stations including TV3, 8TV, NTV7, TV9, Hot FM, Fly FM and One FM. As the Executive Director at The Walt Disney SEA, he played a pivotal role in shaping the platform’s content strategy. An award-winning music producer, he remains a passionate advocate for advancing the arts and media in the region. He is currently the Founder and Chief Explorer of Komet Productions. Hassina Begam Abdul Gani, Chief Executive Officer of the MPO and DFP said, “We are thrilled to welcome Puan Siti Azlina Latif, Tan Sri Datuk Hajah Norliza Rofli and Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar on board to the MPO and DFP family. Their collective experience, passion for the arts and visionary leadership will be invaluable as we continue to build on the MPO and DFP legacies of excellence. Other current members of the Board of Directors are YBhg. Datuk Md. Shah Mahmood and YBhg. Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah. The MPO and DFP extend deepest gratitude to the outgoing Board Members, YBhg. Datin Paduka Marina Tun Dr. Mahathir for their dedication and contribution, which have been instrumental in shaping the orchestra’s success over the years.
As the MPO and DFP embark on their next chapter, the new Board Members will play a critical role in advancing the orchestra’s strategic priorities including artistic innovation and community engagement. Their leadership will ensure that the MPO and DFP continue to inspire and captivate audiences for generations to come.
