Christopher Cheong, Head of Artistic Planning

Christopher Cheong will take up the position of Head of Artistic Planning at the Singapore Symphony on 1 Oct 2025, taking over from Hans Sørensen. 

A former lawyer, Cheong co-founded the Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) in 2008 and is a founding director of Voices of Singapore. Together with incoming Music Director Hannu Lintu, they will spearhead programming that combines leading contemporary and Singaporean compositions with orchestral favourites. His extensive experience in Singaporean arts initiatives and ecosystem will inform his leadership in shaping the SSO’s artistic direction.
