From Indian arts and bold contemporary dance to the power of song and the dynamism of street culture, the centre’s year-end highlights bring together artists and audiences in vibrant encounters that look back with reflection and forward with energy. 

Kalaa Utsavam – Indian Festival of Arts (21 – 30 Nov 2025)  

Each November, Kalaa Utsavam – Indian Festival of Arts at Esplanade brings artists and audiences together in a spirit of celebration, discovery, and connection. Guided by four key objectives—celebrating the excellence of Indian arts and culture, balancing excitement with artistic merit, fostering youth participation, and nurturing the next generation of Singapore artists—the festival continues to honour its roots while looking ahead. This year’s highlights include Mission Maligapoo, a riotous play by Singapore’s Agam Theatre that finds humour and hope even in dark times, and two standout concerts: one headlined by Bollywood luminary Javed Akhtar, and the other featuring Singapore’s own Vedic metal pioneers Rudra with the 56-piece Resound Collective orchestra. 

da:ns focus – Contemporary Dance (29 & 30 Nov 2025) 

Esplanade is thrilled to welcome Nederlands Dans Theater 2 (NDT 2) back to Esplanade as part of its year-round da:ns focus season. The company’s bold physicality and fearless curiosity left a lasting impression on audiences during its last visit in 2015. This highly anticipated return brings a powerful triple bill that showcases its signature artistry, innovation and physical brilliance. 

Voices – A Festival of Song (4 – 7 Dec 2025)  

One of Esplanade’s most vibrant festivals returns to celebrate the art of singing. Featuring a wide range of vocal traditions, genres, and eras, it remains the region’s only festival dedicated to showcasing the diversity of vocal expression through an exceptional line-up of singers. 

da:ns focus – FL/OW (The FULL OUT Weekend) (11 – 14 Dec 2025) 

Following da:ns focus – Contemporary Dance, Esplanade presents da:ns focus – FL/OW (The FULL OUT Weekend), a biennial platform that promises electrifying performances, exclusive masterclasses, and an epic party. The platform complements Singapore’s dynamic street dance ecosystem while spotlighting the form’s continual evolution—expanding in style, influence, and artistic expression. This year’s programme introduces a full-length production for the first time. Elements of Freestyle by ISH Dance Collective (Netherlands) challenges conventions and embraces contemporary dramaturgy, while remaining deeply rooted in the movement languages and spirit of hip hop and street culture.
