SCCC Highlights for Jul – Sept 2026

REMIX 2026

SCCC’s annual youth festival, REMIX 2026, returns with more exciting offerings from young creatives and emerging arts and culture groups! From 3 – 12 Jul, festival goers can expect the return of perennial favourites such as immersive theatre, jam sessions, a street dance competition, a mass escape game, and two creative weekend markets, as well as new offerings such as a make-your-own roasted milk tea bar, and a photography exhibition. 

Festival highlights include: 

• REMIX The Mission: Ah Ma’s Secret Recipe (4, 5, 11, 12 Jul), a clue-solving mission presented by The Escape Artist. For the mission, participants will race from checkpoint to checkpoint, and piece together clues that will test their knowledge of local Chinese culture and dialects. 

• Botanica Brews (3, 5, 10, 12 Jul), a DIY drink bar by AMACHA. With this concept bar, participants get to select their own TCM-inspired herb blend, and have it brewed into a customised cup of warm roasted milk tea for just $2. 

• Finding X (3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 Jul), a theatre experience by The Solitude Movement. In this production, audiences will step into X’s shoes, a girl caught between who she is and what society wants her to be, and discover the struggles of a Singaporean girl wrestling with expectations. 

• ff (4 & 5 Jul), a horror-themed musical theatre set in a haunted school CCA practice room. In this production that fuses Chinese orchestra music with horror theatre, audiences will be drawn into a unique live experience that combines nostalgia with a creeping sense of dread as the drama unfolds. 

• REMIX The Dance (11 – 12 Jul), a Mandarin-inspired dance showdown by NOOOICE ACADEMY. In this dance battle, audiences can expect high-energy performances, epic freestyle battles, and unexpected surprises as competitors take it to the next level with a blindbox twist that will put their dance skills to the test.

Common Ground 

Common Ground shines the spotlight on void decks and the familiar void deck tables and stools as captured through the unique perspective of local photographer Jonathan Tan. Featuring a total of 41 photographs from his Lepak Downstairs series, Common Ground pays tribute to void deck furniture and showcases their visually striking shapes and colours. In the process, the exhibition hopes to give cause for visitors to pause and take a closer look at the beauty of these utilitarian yet unique public furniture in our heartlands.
