All around Adelaide Festival Centre, Adelaide Riverbank is transforming and coming alive. In December, Adelaide Festival Centre’s new northern promenade, Walk of Fame, food and beverage outlets, and Festival Theatre foyer opened to reveal a gear change for Adelaide Festival Centre.

A singular gesture of light will illuminate Adelaide Riverbank

Adelaide Festival Centre delivered three dynamic new dining experiences to Adelaide Riverbank including The Star Kitchen and Bar along Adelaide Festival Centre’s Walk of Fame. The relaunch also introduced venue-wide free Wi-Fi and an interactive mobile app for the Walk of Fame.

The Festival Centre’s tradition of great visual art curation is evolving and the redevelopment includes digital screens featuring commissioned art works from international and local artists. Exhibitions across the 2018 season will tell Adelaide Festival Centre’s story and bring the Walk of Fame to life.

Season 2018 is Adelaide Festival Centre’s biggest yet and epitomises the Festival Centre’s ‘arts for all’ philosophy. The programme features outstanding collaborative efforts and work presented by some of Australia’s greatest performing arts companies. This year, there are a record six major musicals, family programming, art exhibitions, and four world class Adelaide Festival Centre festivals including the brand new Adelaide French Festival.

Adelaide Festival Centre’s brand new Adelaide French Festival is a celebration of all things French across food, wine, fashion, music, performance, fine arts, and culture. The festival kicks off with So Frenchy So Chic in the Park and continues over one incredible weekend. Adelaide Festival Centre’s new Walk of Fame, northern promenade, and cafes and bars will provide the perfect setting for a festival of French culture from 12 to 14 Jan.

Celebrate the relaunch with Adelaide Festival Centre’s Walk of Fame Gala and Open Day

With stars along the northern promenade, Adelaide Festival Centre’s Walk of Fame honours the diverse talents of the many artists who have graced Adelaide Festival Centre stages since 1973. Overlooking the River Torrens, the Walk of Fame is set to become a major tourist attraction in the revitalised Riverbank precinct.

On 19 Jan, a Walk of Fame Gala will celebrate the stars, Adelaide Festival Centre, and the Festival Theatre’s reopening in an accessible concert with an outstanding line up of performers. It’s set to be the hottest ticket in town!

Adelaide Festival Centre’s reopening celebrations culminate in one very special day. On 11 Feb, Adelaide Festival Centre opens its doors to the public in an access all areas extravaganza. This exciting event is expected to attract around 25,000 as the heart of the arts in South Australia is returned to the public.
