2018 iSING! Suzhou International Young Artists Festival will be held from 6 Aug to 4 Sep. iSING! Suzhou Festival is the first programme in China dedicated to promoting the vocal arts and training exceptional vocal talents from China, United States and other countries. In 2014, the Asian Performing Arts Council and Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre jointly held the first iSING! Suzhou Festival. In the following three years, the annual festival has effectively promoted the Chinese Culture, the charm of Suzhou city and the influence of performing arts.

Celebrating its eighth anniversary in 2018, iSING! International Young Artists Festival continues its successful cooperation. Nearly 500 young artists from over 30 countries participated in the competitive auditions in the 2018 iSING! Suzhou Festival, which sets a new record of the numbers of candidates. At the conclusion of the one-month programme, the 2018 iSING! Suzhou Festival will culminate in a special production of operatic musical with over 100 young artists participating in and launching its China tour.

Cats

Cats, one of the longest-running musical in West End and Broadway history will be held at Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre from 12 to 20 Jul.

Cats is quite simply a phenomenon. Featuring a fantastical oversized set, a superb score, inspired choreography and mischievous costumes, Cats is a brilliant song and dance spectacular not to be missed.

The Suzhou audience showed their great enthusiasm for the show. Tickets to the shows were all sold-out almost immediately. The record of seat attendance in theatres at Suzhou is renewed by this magnificent show. The audience call the year of 2018 as ‘the Year of Cats’.
