Voices – A Festival of Song

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is proud to present the sixth edition of Voices – A Festival of Song, a non-ticketed three-day celebration of vocal music held from 7 to 9 December. Voices invites you to connect with one another through the shared experience of song. It is through the coming together of music and words that we create song, a beautiful relationship between different elements. Similarly, when we all join our voices, we share a magical connection with our fellow singers around us.

This year, Voices will continue to feature a range of forms and styles of singing, including choral, a cappella, musical theatre, show and pop choir, classical singing, jazz, doo wop, motets and madrigals, xinyao (a uniquely Singaporean genre) and more.

Music lovers and singing enthusiasts can look forward to performances by Singapore’s newest opera outfit The Opera People; 2018 World Choir Games gold-medallists The Graduate Singers; as well as the finalists of the 2018 A Cappella Championships. Voices aims to continue engaging the larger singing community, as well as ignite the passion for singing in former and current singers.

The festival opens on Friday evening, with performances, workshops and karaoke fun through the weekend.
