One World Many Musics 2018

With One World Many Musics (OWMM), the NCPA celebrates the power of music as the healing force that promotes cross-culture understanding and showcases varied musical traditions to co-existence of cultural and artistic plurality in the world. OWMM has featured contemporary and well-known Indian music bands.

This year OWMM will feature flautist Rakesh Chaurasia with other instrumentalists in the concert Rakesh and Friends (RAF) and Euphoria, one of the first Hindi rock bands to ride the pop wave in the mid 90’s.

Nakshatra Dance Festival 2018

Originated in 2009, the NCPA Nakshatra Dance Festival features exquisite group dance performance of Indian classical dance forms. The festival is best known for having brought to proscenium stage brilliant performances by some of the well-known artistes.

NCPA Jazz Festival

This year the NCPA Jazz Festival promises to be a very special event. With musicians from Cuba, the US, Colombia, Panama, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Japan, Australia and Italy, Canada, France and India, it will be a truly international event. A tribute to legendary jazz trumpet player Clifford Brown, who will lead the festival. This tribute will be led by his son, Clifford Brown Jr who has especially assembled this band for the festival with Clifford Brown III, his grandson, playing trumpet and doing the music of the legendary “Brownie“.
