OUT OF SIGHT is a participatory, interactive, social sculpture by one of the world’s top living artists. Taking the form of a giant hopscotch court, populated with fun and provocative phrases, OUT OF SIGHT invites audiences of all ages to see, play, think and be inspired.

On display in Singapore for a limited time only, come down to the Civic District where you can see this unique floor sculpture, alongside the many things there are to do and see at National Gallery Singapore and The Arts House.

Goodman Grows turns the space known now as the GAC gardens into a community farm which will cultivate an eco-culture that is resilient through active engagement, collaboration with tenant artists, exploring earth care solutions and impactful community experiences.

Plugging into the national SG Green Plan agenda, Goodman Grows aims to cultivate a network of tenants, patrons and an audience who go on to engage in eco-positive practices such as reducing food waste, composting, growing food, creating biodiversity, and recycling while interacting and learning from nature, arts and culture in a vibrant urban community farm.

Goodman Grows will have three programming tracks to build an engaged community through consistent and frequent explorations and collaborations over 4-5 months leading to a weekend of activities.

1) Shape – transform pockets of outdoor spaces into a community farm filled with biodiversity and beauty. A space that artists contribute to, inspires interdisciplinary collaborations and strong community engagement.

2) Share – design, develop and deliver interdisciplinary eco-arts–gardening-food–nature themed workshops, stories, trails, demonstrations, experiences, online programmes with Goodman artists for the public.

3) Show – a weekend of celebration. Showcasing the space, nature and a community on a path towards positive environmental progress through their art and practice, every day action, products and solutions.

The Singapore Writers Festival (SWF), one of Asia’s premier literary events, started in 1986 as a biennial festival. Now organised yearly by Arts House Limited, SWF is a much anticipated event on the cultural calendar, presenting the world’s major literary talents to Singaporeans while shining a spotlight on home grown and Southeast Asian creative talents. Over the years, the Festival has become an exciting meeting point of writers, academics and thinkers in a choice spread of panel discussions, workshops, lectures and performances over ten days. It has hosted literati the likes of two-time Booker Prize winner Margaret Atwood, Whitbread First Novel Award winner Zadie Smith, British poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy, Nebula winner Neil Gaiman and Lambda Literary Award winner Roxane Gay.

The Singapore Writers Festival is one of the few multi-lingual literary festivals in the world, celebrating the written and spoken word in Singapore’s official languages – English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil.

The Cultural Medallion showcase at The Arts House celebrates the achievements of the award recipients through both physical and online presentations.
