APAX 2022 is Now Open for Registrations

The Australian Performing Arts Exchange (APAX) is the largest and most significant annual gathering of performing arts workers coming together to develop tours and cultivate the partnerships that support the ongoing creation and presentation of Australian performing arts. 

In 2022, APAX will be hosted at NIDA, Sydney from 5 – 9 September with an online advance pitching programme from 16 August.  

PAC Australia is thrilled to be able to present the event in-person for the first time in three years.  

Executive Director, Katherine Connor said “We are delighted to host APAX in person at NIDA this September and also provide options to attend online via livestream.” 

“This model provides all delegates access to the advanced online pitching programme in August. Delegates can then choose to attend in-person or access a livestream registration. There are also bundle options so organisations can attend in person and extend the live stream experience with their team back home. We are however hoping to attract as many people as possible to join us in person in Sydney for some much-needed time together to reconnect and reenergise our sector’.

Alongside the pitching, showcasing and networking opportunities, the gathering supports the professional development of delegates, highlights sector innovation and best practice, and supports industry renewal through knowledge exchange. 

The APAX 2022 first programme announcement features keynotes by leading thinkers such as social entrepreneur, Jeremy Meltzer on partnerships, future possibilities, and aligning purpose with stakeholder expectations. Further programme highlights include re-thinking engagement; the art of gathering; and creating a communication strategy to reach new audiences. There is also plenty of time built into the programme to allow delegates to meet, reconnect and digest what they’ve been through in the past two years together.  

Registrations for APAX are now open, with an early bird offer available until 29 July 2022.
