Marking a significant milestone after more than four years of visionary design, construction, and collaboration, Geelong Arts Centre was thrilled to throw open the doors to their transformed Little Malop Street building on 19 Aug 2023, setting the stage for SEASON 2024. Backed by $140 million from the Victorian Government, the new Geelong Arts Centre welcomes a new era of creativity, culture, and entertainment for the region.

Supported by Major Artistic Partner, Deakin University, and Innovation Partner, Costa Asset Management, SEASON 2024 aims to take audience members on a journey that ignites their curiosity while ensuring enjoyment, offering theatre-goers the opportunity to experience the new arts centre like never before.

Mirroring the incredible transformation of Geelong Arts Centre, SEASON 2024 is a celebration of diversity, seamlessly blending the traditional with the modern, allowing arts lovers to discover something new while savouring timeless classics.

Consisting of eight core performances and four special additions, SEASON 2024 brings together cherished theatrical masterpieces like A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, with coming-of-age dramedy, a co-commissioned world premiere contemporary work from world-renowned Geelong theatre-makers, Back to Back Theatre, music from John Foreman’s legendary Aussie Pops Orchestra, as well as mesmerising contemporary dance and circus.

SEASON 2024 invites the community to immerse themselves in a broad range of artistic experiences.

Geelong Arts Centre’s 2024 Family Magic will continue to provide families with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of the performing arts with six fabulous performances, while Delightful Days & Matinees returns with six unmissable performances for those who prefer to visit the centre during the day.

Following its successful inaugural season in 2023, Geelong Arts Centre is thrilled to announce the return of REWIRE in 2024; a celebration of new art, contemporary Australian voices, and immersive experiences with a modern edge that challenge, thrill, and delight.

In 2024, Geelong Arts Centre is also introducing a brand-new membership programme. For $50, entertainment-seekers can enjoy a range of benefits, including a 10% discount at Tutti and Geelong Arts Centre bars, a free drink on your birthday, a free ticket to eligible select performances, discount ticket offers on eligible shows throughout the year, plus an invitation to one member-only event per year.
