The Creation of UnderLine by Rebecca Wong (HK)

Rebecca’s creations focus on the struggle and relationship between desire and the society, culture and power. Her first collaboration with Tai Kwun was Bird-Watching in 2018. Tai Kwun continues the collaboration as Rebecca develops UnderLine, the full-length performance which will premiere in April 2021.

This 30-minute video will bring you to the creative and work-in-process of UnderLine.

A Poem in Jail (in progress) – Happy Together Till the Next Century Comes by Yan Pat-to

A Poem in Jail is inspired by a bed-board with a love poem found in a women’s prison. This immersive production features artists across disciplines including Yan Pat-to (theatre) and Kingsley Ng (media installation). This video will be a prelude episode to the production which will premiere in 2021.

A Lover’s Concerto by City Contemporary Dance Company CCDC (HK)

Established 41 years ago, CCDC has created numerous dance pieces and nurtured its fair share of romantic stories over time. In A Lover’s Concerto, couples from different generations who all met at CCDC will perform a choreographed performance recreating their lasting memories.

Online participatory theatre and mini-ethnotheatre of a Hongkonger created through Zoom during this “who knows what’s gonna happen tomorrow?” period. Audiences would be invited for interaction with the performers to craft the stories about endless life adaptations and struggles.
