The Nursery Rhymes Project 3

The Theatre Practice, Singapore’s longest-running bilingual theatre company, joins SCCC to launch The Nursery Rhymes Project 3 on 8 and 9 October 2022.

The Nursery Rhymes Project preserves beloved classic childhood melodies and stories with a modern interpretation. Providing accessible entry-points into the world of Mandarin nursery rhymes, it consists of three parts: Sing Our Songs (music album), Paint Our Songs (illustrated lyric book) and Imagine Our Songs (live performance).

Now in its third instalment, Nursery Rhymes Project 3 features 12 nursery rhymes – rearranged and recorded by Singapore’s top music talents. They include Ethel Yap, Windson Liong, Ric Liu (DreamzFM), Audrey Luo, Celine Rosa Tan, Juni Goh and other musical theatre performers, alongside Singapore vocal band group MICapella and children from the Practice Education Project. Adding a dash of local flavour is a brand-new illustrated lyric book by popular Singaporean illustrator Lee Kow Fong aka Ah Guo.

Although tickets for the launch event are sold out, you may purchase the lyric book at selected book retailers or download the music album from Spotify and Apple Music from 5 September onwards.

Sing∙Lang 2022

Back for its 5th edition, SCCC presents Sing∙Lang – a mega Mandopop concert where Singaporean artistes who have made waves overseas and the next generation of rising stars come together for a night of local music celebration! Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 26 November 2022, audiences can look forward to an exciting lineup including songs that fuse traditional Chinese elements with our multi-cultural heritage.

RE∙MIX 2022

18 November to 27 November 2022

RE∙MIX youth festival is back for its third edition. The annual event provides a platform for youths to express their creativity and showcase their talents. Held across 2 weekends in November, the festival offers a multitude of events such as street dance competition, escape room, urban art exhibition, market and fair. This year, audiences can also look forward to performances and mini exhibitions curated by students from local institutions through its Youth Open Call.
