GREASE TO OPEN AT HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE, ADELAIDE

Her Majesty’s Theatre is excited to announce that the all-new and electrifying production of GREASE will be making its way to Adelaide for a limited season this October. The highly anticipated musical marks a significant highlight for the theatre’s 2024 season, bringing the beloved musical to the iconic venue.

The new John Frost for Crossroads Live Australia production of GREASE has garnered enthusiastic acclaim across the nation, with critics praising it as “close to perfection” (Broadway World) and a “bucket list production that should not be missed” (Theatre Matters). Following successful premieres in Melbourne and Sydney, and an upcoming season in Perth, the show is set to dazzle Adelaide audiences with its fresh set design, stunning costumes, and a repertoire of classic hits from the film, including Summer Nights, Sandy, Hopelessly Devoted to You, You’re The One That I Want, Greased Lightnin’, and Grease is the Word. 

The Adelaide season will see Patti Newton, Jay Laga’aia, and Paulini join the production. Patti Newton will reprise her role as Miss Lynch, Jay Laga’aia will return as the charismatic TV host Vince Fontaine, and Paulini will make her debut as Teen Angel, exclusively for the Adelaide performances. 

Since its Broadway debut and the release of the blockbuster film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, which became the highest-grossing movie-musical of all time, GREASE has continued to captivate audiences globally. The Tony Award-nominated musical remains a timeless favourite with its blend of youthful exuberance, dynamic choreography, and nostalgic 1950s flair.
