60 Prominent Cultural Figures from the Chinese Community

SCCC, together with co-presenters Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Association, kicks off our SG60* calendar of cultural offerings with 60 Prominent Cultural Figures from the Chinese Community from 6 Mar – 30 Nov 2025. The exhibition pays tribute to 60 prominent figures from Singapore’s Chinese community who have made significant contributions to the local Chinese arts and culture sector.

*SG60 is a national movement to mark Singapore’s 60th anniversary in 2025.

The Nanyang Breakfast Club: Let’s Lim Kopi, Jiak Roti

SCCC’s new travelling exhibition The Nanyang Breakfast Club: Let’s Lim Kopi, Jiak Roti explores the history of Nanyang breakfast, explains its components, and highlights its cultural impact as an iconic dish of Singaporean life. Designed as a clubhouse, the exhibition invites all fans of the dish to experience it as members of The Nanyang Breakfast Club from 3 Apr – 30 Sep 2025.

CITY SingaPOP special exhibition

A collaboration between SCCC and the Embassy of France in Singapore for the 2025 vOilah! France Singapore Festival, CITY SingaPOP is a celebration of Singapore through the lens of City Pop art. Featuring 70 works, this exhibition is Singapore-based French visual designer Nicolas Damiens’ tribute to Singapore on its 60th birthday – a gift that also marks six decades of friendship between his homeland and his adopted city. This will happen from 24 Apr – 14 Oct 2025.

Cultural Extravaganza 2025

SCCC’s annual festival Cultural Extravaganza returns from 9 May to 7 Jun 2025 with 11 programmes featuring Singapore Chinese Culture Contribution Award recipients Nine Years Theatre, Mdm Yan Choong Lian and Ding Yi Music Company, and other notable local arts and cultural groups. Through theatre, dance, music and cross-disciplinary performances, the festival showcases a refreshing and innovative take on Singapore’s Chinese arts and culture.

SG60 Weekend: A Community Celebrates

As part of SCCC’s SG60 lineup, SCCC and Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will be co-organising SG60 Weekend: A Community Celebrates from 27 – 29 Jun 2025. SCCC will be presenting family-friendly arts and culture performances and programmes during the two-day weekend while SCO will be presenting Ode to Singapore, a musical tribute to Singapore’s remarkable journey through six decades of unity, resilience and growth.
